SPALLA GLASS

Glass Fiber Geogrid with Bitumen for Asphalt Overlay

Glass fiber geocomposite with bitumen for reinforcement and rehabilitation of asphalt pavements. Low elongation (≤ 3%), high strength and thermal stability.

What it is

Spalla Glass is Haizer's Glass Fiber Geogrid with Bitumen — a geocomposite formed by a flexible mesh of glass fiber reinforced polymers (GFRP — Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer), with bituminous emulsion. Developed for the reinforcement of new asphalt pavements and the rehabilitation of existing ones, Spalla acts on crack propagation control, service life extension and maintenance cost reduction for highways, urban roads and industrial yards.

Aplicação de asfalto sobre geogrelha Spalla em rodovia

Longer pavement service life

Significantly increases pavement service life, reducing maintenance frequency and the total lifecycle cost of the road.

Crack retardation

Retards the onset of reflection cracks, fatigue and thermal variation damage — the main degradation mechanisms of asphalt pavements.

Greater structural stability

Increases the overall structural stability of the pavement, better distributing loads and reducing permanent deformations over time.
